Scientific Calculator
A full-featured free online scientific calculator with trigonometric functions, logarithms, powers, square roots, and standard arithmetic.
How to Use
Click the function buttons to build your expression, then press = to evaluate it.
Trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan) operate in radians. To convert degrees to radians, multiply by π/180.
xʸ raises a number to a power. Example: press 2, then xʸ, then 8, then = to calculate 2⁸ = 256.
√ opens a square root expression. Example: √(144) = 12.
log is base-10 logarithm. ln is the natural logarithm (base e).

How It Works
A scientific calculator extends standard arithmetic to include functions used in mathematics, science, and engineering. This calculator supports the core functions needed for most academic and professional calculations.
Trigonometry: sin, cos, and tan compute the trigonometric ratios for angles in radians. To convert a degree angle: radians = degrees × (π / 180).
Logarithms: log computes the base-10 logarithm (log₁₀), used widely in science and engineering. ln computes the natural logarithm (logₑ), fundamental in calculus and growth modelling.
Powers and roots: x² squares a number. xʸ raises the left number to the right power. √ computes the square root.
π (Pi): Inserts the value of π (approximately 3.14159265358979) into your expression.
