How It Works
A date difference calculator is used to find the amount of time between two calendar dates. It's useful for project deadlines, event planning, countdowns, contract durations, loan terms, and many other applications.
The calculation finds the absolute difference between two dates and expresses it in multiple units: total days, total weeks, complete months, and complete years.
Example: The difference between January 1, 2020 and June 15, 2025 is 1,992 days, 284 weeks, 5 years, and 5 months.
Note: The calculation counts the number of days between the two dates, not including the start date itself. To include both the start and end day (e.g. for court-ordered periods), add 1 to the total days.
